If you never played a Marvel vs Capcom game before pick this up but if you have just wait until the price drops and when the new characters are out to grab this title.The iconic Marvel vs Capcom series is making a grand return in 2017 and wishes to take all of us on a ride with Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. I will come back when all the DLC characters are out to get more variety in this game, this has the typical challenge mode and color unlocks but personally I need more character variety in my game.
This game is a very middle of the road for me and there is not enough for me to come back to this game after beating the story mode. The art design in this game is ugly and not appealing at all they should of stuck with that they had in 3 I wish i can say more about it but its just simply ugly but the effect do look great its just the characters just are not please to look at. If Capcom were to remove 6 old characters from this game and added the 6 DLC characters to base roster I don’t think the game would of had the backlash that it did I mean they would of had 12 new characters in this game and still able to keep the favorites.
But of the 6 characters 3 are in the story mode so it makes you think why they are not in the story mode and what makes bothers me the most is that the main bad guy of this game UltronSigma is 2 characters fused, you get Ultron in the base game but Sigma you have to buy. What annoys me is that they announced 6 DLC characters and all of them are new except for Venom but his last appearance was in the 2nd game so he would be technically new for this game. Also the sound effects in this game are lame, after hearing how some things sound kinda takes out the hype out like when Dante uses his shot gun the noise is so quiet just for a gun of that caliber or when Ryu does a Super hadouken it doesn’t sound so devastating. All of these characters have so many different incarnations of themselves, for example Dante could dress up like he did in his first game instead of using his design from his 3rd game or Chun-Li can dress how she did in Street Fighter Alpha just to simply change it up, I know i used Capcom characters but comic book characters got too many costumes and incarnations to name which furthers my argument, if your going to bring back most of the cast from the previous game at least change up the way they look. They did nothing new on the design of returning characters except for Captain America he’s looks completely different and that’s the kind of change i’m looking for. Of the 30 characters that come with this game only 5 are new, 1 returning character from 2 (which I would consider new) and there are no X-Men characters and everyone else is from MVC3. Now what I dislike, this is possibility the worse roster in the series. I think reviewers need to realize that this is a fighting game from 2 completely different companies that mix horror, action, drama and comedy i’m not sure what they are expecting out of the story mode I mean its the best story mode in the series and it isn’t just still pictures with character dialog over it you can tell work was put into this. I also love the story mode in this, it has lengthy scenes its fun seeing characters interact with one another and completely over the top, for example you see Ryu and Hulk team up to stop one of the biggest dragons in Monster Hunter and kill it in the most extreme way possible, these reviewers that were speaking negative about the story mode. The game I think is the slowest in the series which is not a bad thing its different and i cant fault the game for changing up the pace I personally think the game’s speed is fine.

The infinity stone system is great at first I was against this system I thought it was a gimmick but using the stones really makes you think how to use your team or who to add or switch out or if you just want a new strategy with your current team this is a nice addition.
I will talk about what I liked, I liked right away is that they use a 2 character system to keep it more simple and less frantic. This game is a mixed bag for me, it does a lot things right but just as many things wrong.
